It makes me happy seeing that there are those out there already trying to improve the game. It's really annoying that you only find out you need more support by building something that goes over the top - and then probably not having the lithium or titanium to add that support because you just used your titanium to build something! That would be another one that I would consider an actual bug fix for the UI.Ĭheck them out. NEXUS SUBNAUTICA MODS MODI only wish there was a mod that would show the structure points remaining in a base when you are building things. There are quite a few others too, but these in my opinion are must-haves. It keeps track of where you have been, for those (like me) who have no sense of direction, and even after multiple playthroughs still go in circles trying to find the wrecks. There is a real map mod connected to the PDA, that includes places like the Lost River and lava zones. Now one can make a trail of brain coral pots inside caves - or an outdoor garden that can use more then just the external grow bed. It makes it much easier to access even when docking the seamoth.Īnother is making plant pots that work underwater - and on the surface for outside air plants. There is one that puts a console in regular moon pools that works just like the one inside the Cyclops for accessing storage and upgrades - something that has been desperately needed because neither is accessible when docking a prawn. No more being forced to bash holes in my own base just to turn off the lights! This is awesome for those who like to build in places with outside light like the blood kelp, or lava zone - or simply like turning off the lights at night to see the glow of the kelp forest. NEXUS SUBNAUTICA MODS UPDATEThe first one I picked was a craftable base light switch - something I have been wanting and asking for since the base update was first released many moons ago. NEXUS SUBNAUTICA MODS WINDOWSSome mods such as Nitrox (a multiplayer mod for Subnautica) use an executable (EXE) or Windows Installer (MSI) files which cannot be installed via Vortex. These are graphical mods which need to be installed directly to the game folder and require the Reshade application to be installed. QModManager allows mods to directly interact with the games code. See also: Deployment Methods Installing Modsįor Subnautica, there are several different types of mods. This will require one final security prompt to save the change. To avoid this, you may want to go to Settings > Mods and change the deployment method to " Hardlink deployment", then click "Apply". This is perfectly fine to use but will require you to accept a security prompt from Windows each time you deploy or change your mods. Accept this prompt to continue.ĭepending on your settings, Vortex may select " Symlink Deployment (Run as Administrator)" as the default.
